Major paint companies and design experts have forecasted which shades will become big next year. If you’re looking to freshen up your home, take note of these hues.

Shades of warmth

Imagine a toasty palette of rich browns, clay and warm neutrals that evoke a comforting, familiar and inviting feeling to make you feel safe and at home. Desert and sunset-inspired colours like clay shades with red undertones will pair well with mid tone blues and rich yellows.

Decadent hues

For bolder tastes, spread the warmth with rich hues like a pale blush or a rich burgundy. This palette also calls for depth and contrast through lavish blues, yellow-greens and rich reds and plum.

Retro feel

Colours taking inspiration from  ’60s to the ’80s, in addition to the textures and glamour from the ’70s include bold rich tan and russet brown colours. Greens and blues that mimic stained glass evoke nostalgia and self-expression.

Forest-inspired

Forestcore has grown enormously in popularity, accumulating more than 140 million views on TikTok alone. Think mysterious, lush and wild colours with a special focus on greens and browns.

Shades of blue

Several blues of different varieties have been declared colour of the year by various sources. Benjamin Moore chose a rich, grounded blue, while Thermal went for a crisp sky blue, and Krylon opted for an almost neon pastel blue.
